TOURNAMENT RULES
1. All teams may carry a minimum of 8 players and a maximum of 11. The game shall be played by 2 teams, each consisting of 6 players, one of whom shall be the goalkeeper.
2. Unlimited substitution shall be allowed, substituting on the fly.
3. No off-side rule.
4. The duration of the games shall be 50 minutes (two 25 minute halfs).
5. A team shall be awarded 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie. Ties will stand in all games.
In the event of ties in the group standing, the following breakers will be used.
a. Result between tied teams.
b. Goal differential = goals for minus goal against
c. Most goals for
d. Sudden death penalty shots
6. A kick-in will be used to restart the game. Opposing players must be 10 feet away from the kicker. Any ball hitting the ceiling or equipment will result in an indirect free kick to the opposing team.
7. When free kicks are being taken no player of the opposing team shall be within 10 feet.
8. Foul play within the goal area will result in a penalty kick.
9. Players ejected from a game and receiving a Red Card will be suspended from any further tournament play. The players team will play for 5 minutes, short a player, regardless if the other team scores.
10. During the game, the referees decision is final.
11. In the event of a tie in semi finals and final play the game will be decided by:
a. 5 minute sudden death overtime
b. Penalty kicks as per FIFA rules if game still tied after overtime.
12. Serious or deliberate fouls may, at the referees discretion, be penalized by awarding a
two-minute penalty against the aggressor. The timekeeper will inform the penalized
player when he can return to the field of play. If a goal is scored during the time a team is
playing a man short then the penalized player returns when play is re-started.
13. Any player with an accumulation 4 penalties during the tournament will be expelled from the tournament.
14. A player must compete in at least one preliminary round game to be eligible for the play-off round.
15. All teams must complete the Master Team Sheet. The team sheet must be handed in prior to your first game.
16. All other FIFA rules apply.
To determine the best second place team, the following criteria, in order, will be used:
a. Number of points
b. Number of wins
c. Result against the first place team in the pool (win > tie > loss)
d. Goal differential = goals for minus goal against
e. Discretion of the host and the coaches of the first place teams
